Slow Cooker Cheesy Kielbasa Hashbrown Casserole

Instructions:

  1. Using a hand mixer, mix together cream cheese, sour cream, ricotta cheese, garlic, and chopped basil in a medium bowl until well combined.
  2. Combine marinara sauce, tomato sauce, cooked ground beef and water in a separate bowl and stir.
  3. Add about 2 cups of the tomato sauce mixture to a slow cooker and top with 1/2 of the ziti pasta. Spread 1/2 of the cheese mixture over ziti and top with 1/2 of the parmesan cheese.
  4. Repeat with remaining ingredients, ending with tomato sauce.
  5. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2-3 hours.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and cook for another 15 minutes on HIGH, covered, to melt.

Tips:

With a recipe this simple, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that there aren’t many tips for this one. We do have a couple that we think will help you, though.

A Sharp Knife – When dicing your onion, a sharp knife is your friend. Even cuts will help you get a nice dice, and a sharp knife makes for even cuts.

Shred Your Own Cheese – Of course, it’s faster to buy shredded cheese, but for the best flavor possible, shred your own cheese using a cheese grater and a block of cheese.
