A fruit crisp is one of the best baking tricks in the book: They’re easy to make, you can toss in whatever fruit you have in them, and when served with a scoop of good vanilla ice cream, they’re a perfect way to end a meal. Now, you can make this delicious summer dessert without turning the oven on. Air Fryer Berry Crisp combines blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries in a jammy peak-summer delight. Baking a crisp in the air fryer rather than the oven not only saves electricity and keeps your kitchen from heating up, it takes only 15 minutes to make. In fact, Air Fryer Berry Crisp is so easy to make, it’s worth keeping a stack of 6″ aluminum pie plates on hand so that a crisp can be yours whenever you like.

Ingredients:

FRUIT FILLING:

  • 1 c. fresh raspberries
  • 3/4 c. fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 c. fresh blackberries
  • 2 tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp. ground flaxseeds
  • 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch of kosher salt

TOPPING:

  • 1/3 c. whole wheat flour
  • 3 tbsp. old-fashioned rolled oats or chopped nuts, such as almonds or pecans
  • 1 tbsp. granulated sugar
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • 2 tbsp. butter softened
  • Olive oil cooking spray

Instructions:

FRUIT FILLING:

  1. Step 1
    In a medium bowl, toss raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, sugar, flaxseeds, vanilla, and salt until coated.
  2. Step 2
    Divide the berry mixture between 2 (6″) aluminum pie plates.

TOPPING:

  1. Step 1
    Whisk flour, oats, sugar, and salt in a medium bowl. Add butter and, using your hands, squeeze the mixture together until clumps form.
  2. Step 2
    Sprinkle topping over filling; generously spray with cooking spray. Place 1 pan in an air-fryer basket. Cook at 370° until the filling is bubbly and the top is golden about 15 minutes. Let cool slightly. Repeat with remaining crisp.
